Harvard Facility
Injection Molding
Our Harvard, Illinois facility is 45,000 square feet and runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. The facility employs over 150 people. This plant utilizes state-of-the-art injection-molding machines supplied by Sandreeto, VanDorn Demag, Kawaguchi, and Arburg. The machines range in tonnage from 25 to 550. A wide range of parts can be molded with using various materials, such as Nylon, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Acetyl and Polyethylene. All materials can be supplied natural or colored. Harvard is ISO-9002 registered by Entella Inc. (1994) and has an accredited meteorology lab. The facility produces approximately 770 million plastic injection-molding parts annually.
European Manufacturing Facilities
Injection Molding and Value Added Services
Richco's two European manufacturing units are located in Gravesend, England and Barcelona, Spain. These facilities are outfitted with state of the art injection molding machines that can process thermoplastic materials with shot weights of up to 89 grams and clamping pressures of up to 80 tons. They manufacture using a 420mm x 420mm bolster and the MUD modular tooling technique. A number of secondary manufacturing, assembly and packing operations are also undertaken in-house. A wide range of materials can be molded (Richco International has some 84 material specifications as standard references), with Nylon, ABS, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Acetyl and Polyethylene being the most widely used. All materials can be supplied natural or colored. For our standard products, a postproduction dyeing service if offered, eliminating the need for special runs and their associated costs.
