Founded
on the northwest side of Chicago, Richco, Inc. has become a major supplier
of plastic components to the electrical and electronics industries. The
secret to this success has been to adhere to the basic principle and goals
which were stated from it inception in 1954-- To design and manufacture
the finest quality plastic parts, to price them competitively and deliver
them promptly. |

| Craig Richardson and his brother Charles started
Richco, Inc. in a small candy store turned manufacturing facility. Working
around the clock, they were able to produce and ship their first order-to a
large pinball manufacturer. Once the manufacturing process for their new clamp
was perfected, the company grew rapidly. Soon, a used machine was purchased
to extrude tape, which then completed the manufacturing cycle for their new
component. This product turned out to be a very big seller, and soon evolved
into a whole series of clamps! |

The following years
turned out to be very successful for the Richardson brothers and they
were soon able to relocate to a manufacturing/warehousing facility
on the northwest side of Chicago, which had been the corporate
office until Sept. 2002 when Richco moved its World HQ to Morton Grove,
IL. Craig and Charles continued adding more products, and the single line
of clamps was expanded to include component clips and beaded ties. In
the late 1950's the product line had expanded enough to allow for the
first printing of the Richco, Inc. catalog which categorized all the products
to date.

Richco,
Inc. has come a long way from its first small factory in Chicago! Their
capabilities are vast, including the use of over 100 molding machines and 1 extruder spread between manufacturing facilities in
Illinois, the United Kingdom, Spain and China . This international interest
has prospered with the help of Richco's worldwide staff. Richco, Inc. now
promotes the product line with its own offices in the United Kingdom,
Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Japan, Korea, China,
Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Canada. |

The expansion has been
made possible by offering an innovative and growing catalog, which exceeds
220 pages, over 150 product families and 60 offered materials. The
Sales teams are fully supported by an industry sensitive Engineering Department.
Most of the components that have been developed over the years are a direct
result of actively pursuing engineers in the field who have expressed a specific
design need to Richco's engineering team.
