On May 23, 2011, National Electronic Distributors Association member, Richco, Inc., donated $1,000.00 to the American Red Cross to support the relief efforts in the southern part of the U.S. due to recent flooding and tornadoes, and in Japan due to the earthquake and tsunami devastation that took place in March. Richco is hopeful that this money will help alleviate some of the hardships in those regions.
Richco, Inc. donated this money on behalf of their 2011 EDS meeting attendees. EDS, the Electronic Distribution Show, is an annual event for manufacturers and distributors of electronic components, instruments, and accessories. This year’s show took place at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, running from May 23-26, 2011. Richco attended the show and met with a number of their distributor partners during productive one-on-one meetings, and made this donation to the American Red Cross on behalf of those valued distributor partners.
The American Red Cross is the nation’s premier emergency response organization, providing worldwide humanitarian aid to people and countries in need. The American Red Cross responds to a plethora of devastating situations, including natural disasters. The money donated by Richco will go a long way to lend support to the victims of the recent devastations.
